VigPro
Introduction
VigPro is software developed to
organize and manage online computer tournaments and competitions. VigPro can be
used as a stand-alone solution to create an Internet gaming zone or in
conjunction with an existing website that wants to offer online competitions to
its subscribers.
How Does It Work?
VigPro does not provide the
game itself. The game is developed by the developer, either as a separate entity
or licensed to VigTech. These games are deposited into VigPro. VigPro will
organize and manage tournaments based on these games. The tournament can involve
single or multi-player games.
These games will interface to
VigPro via a TCP/IP based API. The ideal type of game for competition should
have the following features:

A short duration – a
player(s) should be able to complete a game within 15 minutes. |

Not too difficult to complete. |

All random elements in the
game are derived from a single random source. |

Games are developed using
Java, Microsoft Active-X or Macromedia Flash. |

The game has to provide a
score and ranking. |

Tournaments
Tournaments can be organized in
a number of ways:

Challenge with a fixed number of players
- The
winner is the player with the highest score

Jackpot

Tournament does not have a fix number of players, but
there is a closing date
- On the
closing date, the player(s) with the highest score wins
|

3. |
Progressive
- Like
the jackpot tournament, but prize value increases as the
tournament progresses

How To Play
To take part, players register
themselves with VigPro and start playing cash tournaments after depositing some
money into their VigPro account.
After I’ve Won
Winning players will either
receive cash prizes or points. These points are then redeemable for gifts or
subsequent tournament fees.
There’s More
Apart from tournaments
organized via VigPro, players can organize ad-hoc tournaments among friends.
They will be able to select the game, tournament fees and their opponents.
VigPro will send out an instant message to alert their friends.
Built-in Payment System
Payment is handled by a
built-in micro-payment system. Each registered player will have a VigPro
account. Deposits into this account can be done via PayPal or all major credit
cards (Visa, Mastercard, AmEx and Diners). The credit card transactions can be
sent to an external Internet payment gateway or directly to the acquiring bank
via a leased-line or Internet ISO-8583 protocol.
The system can issue special
prepaid cards to be used as an alternative form of payment. VigPro will manage
the issuing, track the distribution and usage of the prepaid cards.
Conversely, withdrawals from
the VigPro account are made via international prepaid ATM cards, PayPal
transactions and credit card refunds.

J2EE/EJB technology. The database management system is Oracle.
